Sundance Film Festival

We were tasked to develop a Visual Identity System, a typographic visual system that would be designed and used as a way to inform all campaign elements for the Sundance Film Festival 2024. We could use type, color, illustration, and photography to develop our identity system. We had to pick 3 or more campaign elements, such as posters/billboards, merch, tickets, etc., that would be used to promote the festival, with the goal being that we showcase our visual identity system across a variety of media and formats.

Design Concept

I always thought that the indie films shown at Sundance were always so unique and diverse in their storytelling; very different than your typical Hollywood movie, which also came across in their advertising for the festival aswell. I wanted to lean into that storytelling by having my posters, and other assets, tell a story of their own.
