Magazine Cover
We were tasked to design a striking magazine cover in Adobe Photoshop. The theme of your magazine can be pop culture, music, travel, fashion, or any subject you’d like. Play with fonts and colors to give your magazine a unique look. Think of a relevant name for your magazine and include two small “callouts” on the cover to announce feature stories found in the issue. Your magazine should include a prominent masthead communicating the title of your publication.
The cover artwork had to visually evoke the content of your publication to the viewer and include at least one “layer” effect to create a special visual effect in photoshop to alter the lookand feel of your original image.
Design Concept
The Found Space is a theatre magazine that celebrates and highlights Black actors, directors, and shows in the theatrical world. The term "found space" has a double meaning regarding this magazine. A found space in theater refers to a performance venue that is not traditionally used for theatrical productions, but is adapted for that purpose. The second meaning being that Black people have found a space to call their own within the theatrical community.
